What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Haim,

Thanks for the Byrd recommendation. I picked up the same one as Geoff in Media Markt before I read your reply. Quite enjoyable by the way.

Not listening to anything at the moment, but trying to help my daughter with looking at the properties of algebraic functions and finding maxima and minima (including curve sketching). Smile

Cheers

Sounds like fun to me, Mark.

I will be seeing our daughter this week when she comes from her college for Thanks Giving.

Listening to the last part of another great Alpha disc before spending the rest of the morning on the tractor (hopefully for the last time this year).

Regards,
Haim

When you reply, the menu bar at the top, second box in from left is "image URL", paste your amazon image address there and the pic should show. Or, alternatively, I think you can put "" at the end to accomplish the same.

Look forward to more listening/music entries from you. This is a fun room.

Most kind of you - thank you. I had tried the "img" route - learned elsewhere - without success so left it with the link.

Try again:

Still didn't work - don't give up

I use a mac, are you using a mac ? or pc ?

Contributor JWM can tell you all about the pc-way, it is in this thousand page thread several times.

I maybe can help if you use a mac, not sure why my method works, but it does. If you are usiing amazon as your source, I have found I need "copy image address" not "copy image" and then enter the copied image address in the menu box, the [IMG} seems to be added as part of that function.

Jeff, it's a PC - Windows XP SP2 ...

... and I struggle with everything when it comes to computing! Thanks for helping ... I shall continue to try (I cracked the FSM forum this way).

Can't guarantee this method, but get the amazon image on screen, right click, if you have the option "copy image address" click that. Come here to the thread, click "reply" in the bottom corner, select the Image URL box in the menue bar and use "control" and "V". Hopefully the image address is now in the menu bar, click "ok", type any text, click "post now".

Hi Ewen, I agree, I owe my knowledge of it to a local newspaper music revue gentleman with wonderful taste in slightly off the trail selections. Lindsey's newest one is very similar but more acoustic guitar relative to the electric used on Cradle.

Hi Jeff

Not that much really apart from the added/Live tracks which are really good, "Joan of Arc" is my personal favorite. Sound quality is excellent but not as good as vinyl version (original).

I've got this and have only played it once. Thought it was ok. Is it worth persevering?
