What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Can you tell what it is kids (the cover that is). The Pink Floyd and if you don't like this band then frankly you're bloody deaf and should sell your kit and give the money to a deserving cause, alright.

Paul Motian (drums) found his way into this one too. Marilyn Crispell is playing her piano and Mark Helias is playing double-bass.

Gian my friend,
Your new white violin is most impressive, though a harp could even be better. More strings to it...
Anyway, here is something very good and very far from classical music. You will like it:

James cotton, Deep in the Blues.
Regards,
Haim

On vinyl:-
Fantasy CCR-1 1973
A made for auto changer players. Side 1&4 on disc 1 side 3&4 on disc 2.
When some of these type of LPs were converted to CD they made them with the wrong track order. In the CD version of this album it looks like a totally different disc.

Hi Howard
What an interesting looking record. Is it the 3 of 4 piece CCR line-up? JF's still doing those songs now and they sound as good as ever.
