What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Enough of harping on
Bad reviews on Amazon.de
They are in Mozart Saal of the Frankfurt Alte Oper and tempted to go along...
Also enjoy these trios played by C.Eschenbach, R. Koeckert, J. Merz which I have as a DG vinyl boxset which I picked up dirt cheap.

Saw them in Staatstheater Darmstadt, a year or so ago, and didn't think they were bad AT ALL.
Worth going, in my books...

What's the sound quality on this like? I have the Nightfly WG target disc which is excellent.
Also is the extra tracks any good as it's a lot of money to buy this over here?

I have not heard of this copy, can you shed any light? I have all three albums from japan, the sound pretty good. I have seen the gold versions but they're bloody expensive!

Chanticleer / Mexican Baroque
Music of Ignacio de Jerusalem & Manuel de Zumaya, two significant composers in Mexico during the 18th century.
This music was wildely performed throughout "New Spain", from Guatemala in the south to California missions in the north.
