What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

While we are at it. Nearly half price from Caiman compared to amazon.de and came with a big made in Germany sticker on it. Sounds great and this is where I will be ordering all my CDs from now on

Mark,

From what Caiman site do you order?

Regards,
Haim

Haim- Caiman only generally sell through Amazon. Click the used and new link on the Amazon page and you will usually see Caiman on the list of sellers if they have it in stock. If you want to go on to their own site it is www.caiman.com and from there you can access each countires individual sites. But when you want to buy something it will automatically put on on to Amazon.

You will sometimes find Caiman and a company called Importcds competing price wise. I have found them to be just as good as Amazon plus you can also buy direct from them at www.importcds.com.

Got any Freddie & The Dreamers to go with that?

Steve

Unfortunately not, but I wouldn't mind some - Herman's Hermits did some great songs and they could play - the record company used some session musicians on tracks like No Milk Today - a guitarist called Jimmy Page and another guy called John Paul Jones (no relation to the singer in Manfred Mann) - Herman's Hermits went on to have 11 top 10 hits: I wonder what ever happened to those session musicians?

Any recommendations for the best F&TD album?

Sadly not...but I just thought as you were having a 60's pop session you might be about to move onto ...

So Hank Marvin and Freddy were one and the same! No wonder we never saw them in the same room!
