What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Radiohead - In Rainbows
Boxed set just delivered. Lovely heavy 2 x 12" 45 RPM discs, great classy looking packaging with booklet and one fixed to the spine, very heavy cardboard sleeve and outer similar to a classical record boxed set. Seems like they have gone to a lot of trouble with this.
Not listened to the extra CD disc yet, still enjoying the vinyl version after only having the download version previously.

Is the extra CD new material not available on the download?
Posted on: 03 December 2007 by nicnaim
Bruce,
It did not come with my copy of the download. As far as I am aware buying the boxed set was the only way of getting it. It may of course come with the CD release at a later date.
Regards
Nic

So is that new studio material, rather then live or B sides stuff? The strategy of the download idea is becoming clear to me-I'll be buying the CD as well for the new tracks!

Bruce,
See link for details of what is contained on extra CD. It is all new stuff with photos etc, In Rainbows box set
When I bought this, it struck me as a good deal as you got both formats and the download while you were waiting for delivery, plus extras in what turns out to be a very nice package.
Regards

This is a great album.
And nicely complimented by this...
Although 8.1 and 8.2 of Supersilent 8 are a little trying.
