What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Jeff,
I have been listening to her for years.
Regards,
Haim
Haim, That is the only album of hers that I have, released in 1996. I enjoy it very much.
Best holiday wishes to you and yours,
Jeff A

Beethoven 7th symphony.
Very good performance from early 70's.

Very rootsy, with swing and blues light and all sorts of 'Americana' type feeling, excellent stuff from
then
(it's one of their tracks on the Hollyoaks ad, in case you're wondering...)

Sol Gabetta - Il progetto Vivaldi
Lisa Batiashvili - Sibelius / Lindberg
Both very much hyped, currently. And....
...Right so !
The Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca (where I had spent my Mai holidays... Hello, Gian ! You probaly have some personal friends in that orechestra...) is a real great match to what Sol Gabetta does on the Cello.
