What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Mark,

Is that your favourite of hers? I have this one -

I love some of the tracks, but others seem a bit so-so. But I do like her voice.

Hi Steve,

I'm working my way through her collection. I have 4 of her albums, with 2 on order. I particularly like "Underneath The Stars", but all albums have some really strong tracks. And THAT voice..........gorgeous! Off to see her at Liverpool Philharmonic in March as well. Smile

Here's a nice JPC story for you: I have ordered a Lisa Knapp CD, half a year ago, and JPC kept telling me that they are still after the importers to get it, so it was back ordered for all this time.

The good news:
Tomorrow, I will receive it.

The bad news:
I had free shipping (50 CD's ?), for the last half year (because there was still the unfulfilled Knapp order...)

Oh, well...

Did you also receive a cristmas present from JPC ? I think you more than earn it !!!

cheers
Stefan

Yes Stefan,

I was very glad to receive from them for Christmas the Naim 555 player... Actually, it was only a Michael Praetorius disc issued by Radio Bremen.

Don't get lost in the fog and send us the results.

Regards,
Haim

I have the Easter cantatas from this series (number 22) and was playing it this morning. I was thinking that the Christmas one may be more appropriate!
