What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

"Well, I pawned my Smith and Wesson
And I went to meet my man
He hangs down on Alvarado street
At the Pioneer chicken stand..
"Carmalita, hold me tighter
I think I'm going down
And I'm all strung out on heroin
On the outskirts of town.."

Hi Haim
What's the Mediaeval Trio CD like?
I narrowly almost saw them live in Sheffield a couple of months ago, and wonder what I missed.

droodzila,
I never heard them live, so I cannot say what you missed by not going to see them, though I can guess that they sound as great live (as long as the performing hall and amplifications are on a small scale).
I have two other of their excellent discs; 'Words of the Angel' & 'Soir, dit-elle'. If you have none of their music I suggest that you start with Words of the Angel:

Have a good holiday,
Haim

Thanks Haim, I'm intrigued and will definitely explore their work further. I'm curently listening to one of my Christmas gifts:
Sounds absolutely delightful so far.
Have a good one yourself.
