What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi Haim,
Thats now two albums i have that you have played this year i think
A classic pairing and a very good album.
Hope the Christmas thing went ok.
I have had a nice day today, Round some friends lots of Naim 250s and other bits of kit.
Loads of good music,and food.
Munch
Munch,
Those two albums are what we call 'common ground'.
Glad to hear that you are having quality time with friends & Naims (a good combination, if you do not wish to listen to the guys you can always tune into the music..).
Very early morning here, enjoying some fresh coffee and delicious music before another five inches of snow fall on us. No big plans here, probably will end up driving north into the snow country to visit some family.
Regards,
Haim

Only played the first Eric Bogle CD so far.
Good to see that someone else likes Laura Cantrell. I thought it was just me - and the late John Peel of course.
Nigel
Hey me too, saw her live in 2006 in Gateshead, she was excellent and signed cd's afterwards - she has her own radio show too.

They had it on pre-release sale at their UK shows in November.
Some great tracks on it - Coughing Up Blood / Old Time Tickin' Away / Songbirdz / Angels of Destruction / Wilderness.
Slightly more mainstream than If You.. and 20,000 Streets... but not in the Brit Pop vein of Float Away....
I got Mojo today and they gave it 4 stars in their review which I think is (just) fair.
Git mine signed by David / Serge / Adam and Kirk and officially numbered 001

If you in doubt, it is worth buying - but don't pay the stupid prices (£15) some are asking over here. Get it from a US seller for normal CD prices.
Cheers
