What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Last three quarters of an hour listening to Stephan Grapelli playing, introduced by Nigel Kennedy! Radio Three still knows how to make a truly entertaining programme with just the right people! The style was as relaxed, and seemingly suave as the music making!
Long live the Radio! George

Hansel and Grettel, live from the Met [NY]. In the intervall at the moment!
Last time I heard this I was playing in it many years ago! Great fun.

First listen last night and have to say i'm very impressed. Much more consistant that 'cruel Sister' and much more assured. Think this one will be in the cdp regularly
