What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Gian.....I think so too. A Guarneri violin (Venice 1773) - Gorgeous tone. Set against baroque instruments including a lute.

Yes. My first Surman, Stefan, and always liked it a lot. Played softly with a double bass and a string quartet.

For some reason my American disc has a different picture on its cover:

Miles Davis - On The Corner. Not one that the wife will enjoy. Then again she finds quite a few of my records difficult Winker

Warm string music for a warm (relatively) afternoon.

Rolf Lislevand is as good as ever.
