What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Moved onto XTC - Skylarking
In my youth I saw XTC live on a number of occasions and had everything they released up to English Settlement. At this point my musical taste started to diverge from what they were doing and it was not until many years later that I bought Apple Venus after reading a good review, and an excellent album it is.
Well as I was in town today with my daughter buying school shoes at the last minute, so I popped into HMV and decided to fill in some of the gaps. I always enjoyed the Andy Partridge's lyrics and perhaps age has made me appreciate the subject matter of their later albums.
Surely the best thing to come out of Swindon?
Regards
Nic

Rotf,
My pc does not like that link.
Munch
Hi munch - you need to go to Basia's site
http://www.basiabulat.com/ and click on hello and a black box should come up - click on the little arrow on the bottom left of the box and it should rock and roll its way through
In The Night - very commercial, but still Basia. It does take a couple of minutes to load up.

Ah Basia does Arcade Fire, that's an improvement.
Definitely prefer her without the hat though.
