What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Very well spotted, Haim, but it's a bit of both. Philippe Djian is keeping me busy, but at the same time, the music grabbed my attention, quite often and intensively, too... The sound is so much better with a book than with a noisy Laptop...
cheers
Stefan
Stefan,
Happens to me all the time; sit with a book in front of the ProAcs and drift back and forth between pleasure and pleasure (literature and music).
Last disc for the night:

Listening to samples of Besnard Lakes on MySpace
It's a bit too Psychedelic/Pink Floydie for me - but each to their own

Now moved on to Feist whose genre is noted as Folk/Alternative/Indie. I think Pop should be added too. Here's her MySpace. Don't be put of by her photo Ewemon
Much more my cup of darjeeling, in fact the few tracks here are gorgeous. Reminds me a little of a mellow Polly Harvey. I think some of the Forum members who like their Female singer songwriters with an edge may like to listen.

Hi Alan, I am glad that someone else appreciates this one.
What else have you got that I have posted?
Richard,
Without going back through the posts and off the top of my head Portishead, Springsteen, The Band etc. I recall before christmas there was a sequence of albums you played which sent me to my collection to make sure they were still there !
