What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

It's that bloody hat again.
Out of interest if some one asked you about baroque electronic dance music how would you include that picture?
I know she is an illustration of someone who doesn't do BEDM. Winker

Nope - got me there.

Just a joke ROTF.
I know what it means to be in love with a record btw.

Gianluigi,
Great band, but this album hasn't grabbed me like their others. I think it may be time to drag it out again. It's probably a grower like the Finn album which was initially a listen once then file, a few months later I listened to it again and it quite literally stayed in the CD player for a month.
Whats your take on it ?

Alan

Ciao Alan!
I'm used to listen to records and let them rest a while.
This one is not bad.
I did expect a pure marketing album after all those years but i'm glad i'm wrong.
It's very hard to put them into a folder just like a lot of other musicians.
I think it's an honest album.
One of those that take place inside without beeing intrusive.

A nice choice naim_nymph -a real haunting album - Have you tried any of The Six organs of Admittance? A little more 'Drone' in places but also some real stark and beautiful songs. The new album has some great sounds on it

Howard,
I dont know what they are.
Munch

So you're in computer support then?

They are internet browsers. I was just wondering if you were using Mozilla there is a download spell checker that works as you type.

Hi von zipper, interesting name for a band!.. (sounds like a donor card for cancer research!)
But, i do see they've got a few albums out over the past few years so checked them out via amazon. The vocalist sounds quite okay but can't really tell much about the band going by RealPlayer so i'll bear them in mind for a proper demo soon : )

kind regards
nymph
