What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Haim - just added to my wishlist, thanks!
Currently listening to Adrian's reccommendation - Richard Bona and coming up Professor Longhair, The Neville Brothers, The Meters, Dr. John and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. All on vinyl - it's Mardi Gras!!

How are liking the Richard Bona? Two others to look at of his are Reverence and Munia The Tale.
cheers

Thanks for the tip Adrian, will add them to my wishlist - the most practical invention for Birthdays!
Currently The Meters live on the Queen Mary - funkier than a mosquitos tweeter (if only I knew what that meant)

2 good albums both with one standout track. I was singing (?) "Don't go back to Rockville" all day yesterday and gave "Cortez the Killer" my first excursion beyond 9 o'clock in a while.

I'm experimenting with a bit of vinyl right now. Listening to the Naim Music Collection Volume 1. It sounds beautiful and I have to say I like 8 out of the 9 tracks musically. Sorry Janvier.

Another great recording to listen to on the CDX2/Stax 4040s - which is another way of saying I like this a lot.
