What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Just finished listening to
Some fantastic movement (if thats the right word) in the riffs in this record and I love the songs where Nikkis voice underpins so quietly whats to come later (autumnsong)
Now playing
Sounding more glorious than ever (have not played it for a while)

A too short collection of traditional sounding folk songs simply sung by Karine, mostly with acoustic backing. Excellent.

Hey and just got an email from her after I said I was looking forward to her gig at the Cluny (Newcastle)in July. Why, ain't some folk just so polite![]()
For what i can see from here it's records i'd buy only because of the singer's face.
Did you miss the chance to ask her for a beer together?

Fabulous Music! : )
probably a better album that her 'Come Away with Me' truth be told, and this album also features Dolly Parton too!... every track is excellent with a great band and superb singing...
It's just such a crying sham this cd is so LOUD!
My volumb knob is at half past seven and it's blasting out, if i try turning it up more the higher frequencies make my ears bleed.
Is this yet another basket case of bad compression?
I wonder : (

I'm not that shallow, tho I have bought drinks for Pauline Penetration and Tift Merrit and Willy from Richmond Fontaine and probably would have bought Kate Walsh one if Nic hadn't distracted me and dragged me off to see Richard Hawley................... I'm shy you know.

Good move, even worse than Crawley BAA.
The cancelled gig was in Brighton.
Joe Bonamassa is starting his UK tour in Crawley though.
