What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Mozart's piano music including a March (K408), a Courante (K399), a Gigue (K574), a Rondo (K511) and two Sonatas (K310 & K533/494).

Wow Kapt Kopter ... slagged off when it was released and heralded as a great elpee when the critics finally bothered to listen ... Randy California was a superb innovator and guitarist ... I have most of Spirit's albums and they are all good with 12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus being one of the greatest records every made .. Jay Ferguson was with Randy in Spirit and went on to form the harshly critically maligned Jo Jo Gunne.

Yes Randy California was underrated in most things he did, but his genius is there to be discovered on those many great albums.

You know it makes sense. Big Grin

Not only are the acoustic versions of those tracks interesting, but the sound is stunning.

Geoff,

Thought that it was only me on the forum that liked Acoustic Alchemy! I have Reference Point, Positive Thinking, Natural Elements, The Beautiful Game and AArt, but not these two. Like the idea of a live album from St Lucia though, are they worth getting?

Regards

Nic
