What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

The LP version sounded fab on my sondec some years back, but the @2003 'Enhanced' CD i recently purchased is nothing but a two-dimensional wall of sound designed to make ones ears bleed...
On a second attempt of playing this cd i got as far as half way though 'it's alright for you' track 3... i could take no more so i put it on the shelve to gather dust.
Nigel, i hope you've enjoyed the vinyl? : )
The customer reviews on amazon are 5 star for the Enhanced CD so have i bought a duff copy or are their lots of deaf people out there? ; )

Good Morning Munch!, golly! you get up early! : )
My cd @2003 copy sounds awful to my ickle elfy earoles : <
It has a cd-rom enhancement with the 'walking on the moon' video-flic on it.
Perhaps my disc needs some technical refining adjustment... wait a minute, i'll get the 2 pound club hammer out the shed : >

I dont know if its me , my system or just that its not music for 7.30am but I cant get on with the first two tracks at all, I find them too congested like listening with a bad cold..

Well Munch, what's the verdict? Is the remastering ok or just another exercise in loudness?
All the best,
