What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

I've had it for ages (I realise, nearly 20 years...) It was the famous Oz Benefit Gig. Now available remastered, cheaply, on Amazon.

Not bad ROTF Smile and I agree with you on your recommendations. One of the best gigs I ever saw SAHB in about '73-74. Can't remember the exact date.[/QUOTE]

Saw Alex Harvey Band at an all nighter at the Mardi in Liverpool when I was a lot younger !

No James, it didn't

If we call it Winwood, Capaldi, Mason, Wood, Grech, Kwaku Baag and Gordon then I suppose it could, but if we call it Traffic then it's up against

and for me to have not included either of those gems would have been the greatest crime I would have ever committed in my entire life .... apart from once saying that Norwich played OK against Bayern Munich when I meant were dead lucky.

I agree with you Welcome To The Canteen is better than a lot of records in the 1000, but it suffers from Traffic making too many great records; they couldn't help themselves hardly a duff track in their entire catalogue - amazing band.

Strong recommendation for this if you are an alt-country fan.

Sounds great as well.
