What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

I understood Jimi was unhappy with the cover with all the bare naked ladies as he thought it detracted from the music and the record company put it out without consulting him.

For some reason HM is using the same image for their disc of the same harpsichord music played by Egarr:

A couple of late sonatas from this excellent boxed set. I'm surprised by how Beethoven-like they sound actually - not at all what I expected (this is a good thing).

Gian my friend,

This is by very far the best Holland that I have. I am sure that you will enjoy it. Don't wait too long to get it.

Crack the box, Gian, you have got all the power tools you need!

Regards,
Haim
