What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi 555 - your post inspired me to give this a spin - what a fine debut album. The last two tracks, "Sarah" and "I Saw a Light" are terrifying (it's the way she screams, "I saw a light... coming through the trees", as all hell breaks loose)! I think she has potential to produce a fantastic second album (in the same way that Joanna Newsom improved on "Milk Eyed Mender" with "Ys", say).
Worth a try if you like Kate Bush, Joanna Newsom, and other female "eccentrics".
Hi droodzilla
I can't deny I look BFL website at least once a week,
because I'm so excited at the prospect of the second album!
The bass line in "Sarah" gets me every time.
Every person I've played this to has either bought themselves a copy or begged a CDR.
Cheers - John
P.S. If any members are looking for a new act to try out I can't recommend this enough!

Thanks for the tip! I just gave it a listen on my favorite online shop. Unfortunately, it only offers 30 seconds, low quality samples.
