What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Is your Zero 7 the 45rpm double?
Yes it is....They were on Jonathon Ross last night not bad but looking like they are aging a bit.

Hi Jeff,

Saw her at The Lowry in Manchester on Tuesday, when she played most of Tim's House, and had the pleasure of meeting her after the show............so cute! And what a beautiful voice. What I have enjoyed about her albums is that they have "grown" on me rather than being instantaneously appealing, which sometimes leads to boredom. Fantastic stuff!

Hi Mark

This is my first listen, and I am impressed. The voice has similarities to Mindy Smith. Tomorrow early morning when I listen under the 'phones I will focus more on the songs, but they sound very good now.

Today, as recommended here, I also got Jack Johnson new one and Porcupine Tree ".....Blank Planet" .... will listen to those next.

ps btw "Year of Meteors" is a personal favorite.

Jeff,

I'm glad you are enjoying Kate.

As introduced by another Forum member, I have really "got into" Porcupine Tree lately - today I had on the CDP :

Pretty good...

OTOH:
The Karajan / Romy Schneider "Peter und der Wolf" is not that convincing in my books, after all...

cheers
