new mains plug - lower background noise conundrum

just fitted one of those 4 way mains plugs to my system as recommended on the forum. Initial impressions are of much reduced background noise on 30 year old vinyl. I did notice that the plug screws I removed were not as tight as they could have been. Am I fooling myself or is this a genuine result of the new plug arrangements?

I have recently done the dem of hicapped prefix vs supercapped prefix and with the latter

No I definitely heard it. The 4 way plug in comparison seems supremely good value
