AV2 with another manufacturers poweramp

Hello fellow naim lovers.

I have long looked for a pre pro that can do justice to stereo and there arn't too many out there. My processor is a Sony TAE 9000 and it's still working fine. It's actually an amazing piece of kit for the money. My stereo system is in another room and is full blown naim.

My question is, can the AV2 be used with another manufacturers poweramp or is this unadvisable because of unpredictable results? The main reason for the question are the DIN outputs, the sub has RCA but all the others are not. I love naim but my Spendor SP100's wont be happy with say a nap150. I've actually tried them with my stereo gear and I think that the new 250 is a minimum. Price is still a limitation so the AV2 looks tempting next to the other processor that claims to do stereo well, the Bryston SP2. My amps for the theatre are Rotel RB993 and 990. They do a resonable job with a full Spendor speaker line up, just toying around with the idea of improving the processor. Any thoughts. It would be great if naim had RCA outs on the AV2 or any other processor that they plan to release.

Thanks,

Mario.

I tried with a Pass 3x. It worked. I eventually moved to Naim amps. It just works better, thats all I can say. I think I would match the amps. So solid state and such.

Thanks Mr Jones.

Naim products don't usually work well with other brands so I know what you mean. It's just that 2 nap250s in the house and other amps for the other channels would be a bit rich. I actually like DINS and like keeping to the rules with the stereo system, the theatre on the other hand needs lots of boxes so making them all naim is too expensive. I also prefer to keep the systems seperate as I don't want to compromise the stereo with all that stuff between the speakers.
