Any idea when the new software update will be available for the HDX?

My HDX is in for repairs

word on the new software is

"Your HDX should be updated to 1.4b Service Pack 10 whilst it

Hi David,

I'm just curious if you have any news about your HDX yet, or is it still in repair?

What (potential) bug fixes or changes are covered with this service pack 10 release?

Hi Michel

HDX back after repair, turnaround time without HDX was 14 days.
I have no idea what bug fixes there were in an interim software upgrade, no changes to functionality however.

There was a report sheet I seem to have lost stated the repair was replacement of a faulty connecting (ribbon?) cable.

They had ripped the most recent sampler disc to the hdx for me , bonus!

Sounds like all you need is a "service issue" and you can get the new software now.

The new iPhone OS drops tomorrow. I know that.

Just out of future buying interest , are HDX owners expecting just a software update or new features as well ?
If so , what new features have been rumoured ?

Items which I believe are being changed with the new software are the possibility to rip directly to NAS and to add cover art manually.

Furthermore there are rumours about Internet Radio, but I don't know if it will be in the next update yet. Although, I've heard someone on the forum about an updated HDX user interface, seen on the Summer Sounds Roadshow...

Maybe Naim should elaborate a bit on this matter...
