Antistatic Sleeves

Posted by: Absolute on 27 June 2010

I've started having issues with static again and figure the most simple solution may well be 'antistatic sleeves' and there is the most consensus that they work.

What do people use? I've done a bit of searching (on here and online) but im not sure if i need sleeves or inner sleeves, or if there is a particular material I should be looking out for or avoiding. They don't look all that expensive, but then I might be looking in the wrong place and get a nasty surprise!

Advice/opinions greatly appreciated.

Nagaoka no. 102 inner sleeves works well.

Nagaoka are fine, but IMHO the Mo-Fi ones are far better at about the same cost.

Nagoka No. 102's are a PITA IMO.

I find they are difficult to insert records into, possibly because...

a] They are slightly too small
b] They are round at the bottom so they don't sit well in your sleeve/inner sleeves.

Next time I buy some, I'll get the MOFI's. I have seen Johns MOFI's and they appear loads better.

Try Russ Abbott for the MOFI's. Not sure on the pricing though.
