I'm sure he will. I'd rather read his posts than Fritz's!

Gianluigi! You are being missed. I saw your post to TMP, and I thought that you were very angry. I don't understand all this army stuff, but I do know I miss your posts which are funny and make serious points!

all the best from Fredrik

What happened ??
Posted on: 22 February 2006 by Gianluigi Mazzorana
The only person i fell to apologize to is Adam Meredith as forum moderator and person encharged to keep a minimum order and decent ambient.
I do apologize for insulting, but only because is not the right thing to do in a public forum.
I do keep my point of view and, in the future, i'll keep distance from such threads that, because of my nature and personality, bring me to say exactly what i think forgetting kindness and formality.
The rest of the nice guys here can be sure i'll keep on beeing in the band because of their cheering and friendly hospitality.
Now, as i'm and feeling not a kind of "star" pleased for "another song", i'll put a CD in my good cdp and open a bottle of good one cheering to all the good willing fellows here.

Alla salute!

Thanks for the images Gianluigi. At least I know who's posts to avoid when I go online for a bit of light entertainment.

I'd tend to agree, and if Gianluigi Mazzorana isn't banned he certainly should be. There was a case in Scotland recently were someone was imprisoned for showing pictures like that in an inappropriate location as it was regarded as a breach of the peace.

Steve G,

What pictures has Gianluigi Mazzorana posted that make you think he should be banned?
Posted on: 23 February 2006 by Steve G
They've been deleted (I assume) by the moderator.

Dear Steve,

A bit harsh, surely? Personally I would not like to see Gianluigi banned nor do I think his photos should be deleted. He has a good heart and cares about the evil in this world, he just gets a bit needlessly excited thats all. I dont believe he is gratuitiously offensive as others are in this forum. He has valid points of view which he makes passionately and that is all too his credit in my view. He was wrong to be quite so rude to TMP but I dont think he meant any great harm by it. This forum would be less entertaining and interesting without Gianluigi. I think eveyone in the world should see pictures like these (Ive seen worse in real life) so they might develop the resolve not to contribute in any way to the causes of such suffering. We should be outraged not that the pictures were posted here but outraged that such atrocities take place everyday in a number of countries and we should each (IMHO)do our part in ensuring these evils do not occur again.

Regards,

Erik

Well said Erik.

I might suggest that posting pictures which may be genuinely distressing should be accompanied by some sort of warning though, so people know before they look what to expect. However in threads debating violence and war I see no reason why we should not be faced by what we are referring too.

I haven't seen the pictures and if they offended then I'm glad they were removed. That said living a quite sheltered existence as I do, perhaps I need to be offended once in a while.

I would not like to see Gianluigi banned - he adds a lot of humour and he seems like a very well meaning guy.

I agree with Bruce with regard to the pictures and warning us about what was coming.

I got to that bit when my daughter (aged 5) walked into the room, I instantly closed the browser, they certainly weren't suitable for kids to see.

It seemed out of character for Gianluigi but it was a pretty extreme thing to do. I think that TM-P, in his slightly heavy handed way, was only trying to put the recent NoTW story into context.

I have no reason to ban or moderate Gianluigi - I received several alerts about the pictures and removed them in consideration.
The thing to remember is - this is a forum within Naim Audio's set of forums and, while debate is welcome, personal attacks are not.
I feel that Gianluigi responded strongly (and once) to what appears to have got out of hand.

On the basis of a few personal arguments that seem to have arisen - I would advise leaving vitriolic debates alone. If those involved cannot control themselves, I will intervene.

<That's fair.
Pics were strong, i know.
A way to stand up from sofa and see something hurting, which is the way i see violence under any aspect.

<In my way of seeing things i would do the same thing.
In moderator shoes, i mean.

<Ok again.
As before, i do apologize again to you.
This is a good place to be and don't want to leave.
I have esteem for all the people here, you and the company, ment like workers at any level and coherent product's concept development, you represent here.

Good Morning Gianluigi!

Are you well? All the best from Fredrik
Posted on: 24 February 2006 by Gianluigi Mazzorana
Hi Fredrik!
Got home right 10 minutes ago.
Just a scratch to cats' head and here we go again.
Cdp workin' and in half of an hour a "superb" shower.
I need to take away all the dust and worries of another workin' day.
I guess that i'll hear my good friend and then we'll go for another full music evening melted in a good pair glasses of fine wine.
If my boss could only see my grin!!!
Smile
