Diana inquiry

The Lord Stevens verdict is as expected, whichever way you look at it. It won't of course silence those that like a good conspiracy theory. I wonder if this has only served to stir it all up again rather than putting it away for good, and once again achieving exactly the opposite of what was intended. Now I’m hearing lots of talk about a Fiat Uno and pregnancy again. I had forgotten about all of that.
I do feel desperately sorry for Mohammed Al Fayed.

That will shut every body up then.
Why not blame the french for not putting crash barrier up in that tunnel? Square pillars, that's a good thing to crash into,no chance of skimming off those. Just as well as only a few other people had been killed there without the benefit of "drunk" chaufeurs or errant white Unos.

I was thinking - right now everyone can shut up about this.
Then I had a look on the BBC Have Your Say boards and people were going on about every CCTV camera on the route the car took NOT working - bit of a coincidence (if it's true).
Bottom line is - if they'd followed Jimmy Saville's advice (as the Minder did) then they may well have lived.
I would also have thought they could have "taken Dodi out" individually if they were worried about him marrying Diana.
I guess if there was a conspiracy then someone at some point e.g. on their death bed - will spill the beans eventually.
Matt.

You mean the best way to kill someone, is to quietly shoot them rather than create an over-elaborate and unnecessarily complex plot consisting of very rare radioactive particles being transported around the world and administered to the victim in his food without him being aware. Yeah, it’s ridiculous isn’t it. I agree with you.

Under french law Mohamad Al fayed is responsible for the deaths if the deaths were caused by one of his employees (which it was)- hence he has employed a full time team to spread a complete load of bollocks about conspiracy and how Diana (the most desirable woman in the world)wanted to desperately marry his son (fruit of His loins and by extension the most desirable man in the world)when in fact she wanted no such thing.
All the conspiracy theories have been systematically and emphatically proved as lacking in any substance whatsoever (with the possible exception of the Uno which remains largely unexplained I think?)
I love a good a conspiracy theory but I believe the official line on this one. Mohamad Al Fayed is a slimy toe rag in my opinion.

He lost his son don't forget. I don't know how anyone can deal with the loss of a son or daughter.

The guy is distraught and grieving and for him there was no closure because the ending of his sons life was (as in many cases) so bloody pointless.
Its all sad really. Its sad that we will probably have to go through this kind of shit until the end of time, our own little JFK if you like.

This year a man (alleged known criminal)was professionaly "eliminated" by a shot to the head, in daylight, on the green a few yards from my house, in the rather twee suburban town where I live. Nobody was caught and the story quietly went away.

The CCTV cameras were working. Unlike here in Communist UK the French authorities haven't saturated Paris with CCTV so they can keep an eye on Jacques Public. I believe all the cameras on the route were privately owned and set up to monitor buildings and their entrances, not the road.

Willy.
