Red Hot Chilli Peppers/Vinyl

I do not know about you, but I am highly frustrated by the fact, that the vinyl-version of by the way is twice as much as the cd. has anybody heard it yet? Is it worth the money - I mean the 28 Euro for the vinyl???

In the UK the vinyl version is not out until the 29th July! When it comes I'm sure it will not be cheap. I have noticed this trend especially with Warners. First they try to get vinyl fans to buy twice by getting the CD early. Secondly they decide to take the piss with the price because their marketing dept says that they can get away with it.

It is a really good album and I am sure I will buy it on vinyl regardless, the trouble is they know that.

F..K them!!!

since yesterday i had the opportunity to listen to ten 30-second bits of the record (www.jpc.de) and i quite liked them. less aggressive though than previous recordings. hard-core fans might complain that btw is too "commercial". well, i will buy it and try to find out for myself if i invested wrongly. let you know as soon as i know more. but 20 bp.... phoooey.

I have it on CD for the moment (to be exchanged for vinyl when available) - I really like it.
Check out the thread I started a couple of days ago called "By the way".

Cheers
