Thank you from Basically Sound

The following message is posted on behalf of Graham Halliwell; the manager of 'Basically Sound'

I'd just like to say a big thank you to all of the customers who attended the Basically Sound, Naim Audio musical and social event - not without its humour.

I remain totally in debt, to the unflappable and unassuming Paul Darwin, whose genuine enthusiasm and far reaching musical knowledge, together with an indefatigable interest in our customers, was and is, astounding.

He is far too modest to admit it; but from the feedback I'm receiving, he was the star of the show.

(Apparently, looking like Peter Gabriel helps!)
(Who started that?)

Thanks also to Naim Audio for producing some great sounding kit, whose range is, somewhat incredibly, improving all the time.

To those who were not invited, or couldn't make it; there will be another event, hopefully in the not too distant future. Get your Naim on the list, now.

Graham Halliwell - Basically Sound.

I take it you refer to the wonderful 'Acoustic Live' with 'Keith Don't Go'

No; Paul was his usual laid back self and retained a happy smile through all my Celine Dion(?) albums.

That Steve Wright crack "Why the long face" still makes me titter.

Thank you Graham and Paul for your hospitality. It was a most enjoyable and interesting evening... always fascinating to hear what people bring along! The highlight for me was the Vivaldi.

J.N. why didnt you wait till Pam and I arrived before playing your treasured Celine Dion albums?
