Occupations?

Hi All,
I was wondering the other day what sort of people us discerning (goes without saying) Naim enthusiasts are, and was curious to know what sort of jobs we did. Given the price of even second hand stuff (including olive and chrome bumper), we're collectively not short of a bob or two...
How about a poll of jobs? Apologies if this has been done before...
To kick things off, I'm an electronics engineer working in Defence (nothing sinister!). From London, but based in Washington DC (where the money is!) at the moment.

Programmer for an insurance company (mainframe systems).
Thankfully I'm in a role where I get to do quite a bit of work with some interesting technical challenges, like building one of the biggest SQL databases our company has ever seen.
cheers, Martin

Lawyer. Just started my own firm with my best friend from law school. We do bankruptcy (debtor side) and general federal litigation with an emphasis on constitutional issues. I am also proud to say that approximately 15% of our work is pro bono.
Best,
Bob

Metallurgical engineer. That's a fancier way of saying materials engineer but it's geared more towards the metals industry.
BTW, I want Bob Mccluckie's job as a gigolo.

I design and troubleshoot multimedia contact centres, working all over Europe for large blue-chip customers.
And before you ask, no, it's not me shipping them all out to India!
Cheers!
Rich.

I try to design voice and data networks for large multinationals (yawn) - it's my fault for not having the talent to do something exciting instead - I wanted to be a lighthouse keeper.

Boring engineering stuff. I design and sell automation systems for the logistics industry, from conveyors to directed picking and software.
I should have chosen a career where there is some money.

Fred,
Sounds like fun. Tell me, how do you end up doing that?
I presume you're a hi-fi enthusiast as well as a musician?

Bugger. Thank the Lord for Flying Pay.

Well, until the middle of last year I worked for a major international bank.
Then I was made redundant, and a short time later I got another job with...a major international bank!
Hey ho.
Cheers,
Jon

She's looked after you hasn't she! I guess long periods away result in a fair wedge when you get back?!
All the best
Phil
