Corporate Rock

What has heppend to ordinary, cooking rock ?

There is very little of it around - it is all alt.rock, indie rock, post rock, punk rock, lo-fi or other types.

Where have all the straggly permed corporate rockers gone ?

or do you mean the traditonal "corportate" bands

asia, styx, boston, journey, ELO etc?

Some are still around, but not enjoying any radio / video play so have kinda fallen off of the map.

I have a quite abit of this stuff ( hangs head in shame, but I grew up in the 70's/80's and was more attuned to AOR than top 40 drivel. Making the best of it I suppose. )

I have been revisting some lately, and there are some jems, but stuff I used to groove on big-time just don't cut it anymore - A little denim and leather from Saxon anybody??

Creed.

The cover and the 'attitude' mislead one into thinking they are perhaps nu-metal but it sounds like corporate rock to me.
