Bruce or Floyd

Posted by: BigH47 on 05 June 2009

I am listening to Planet Rock ATM . This track came on , it has quite a long slow simple intro, I was thinking it was Bruce S but was most to find it was PF Lost for Words.
Any ideas what the Bruce track was I was thinking it might be?

I don't mean to charge this thread, BigH47, but that song reminds me of something....

When I first heard that Album (in 2000 and when my interest in Floyd began at an exponential rate), I thought Waters wrote the lyrics and I thought they were good - this of course was subsequent to my experiences with DSOTM. As I got more fascinated with Floyd and read lots and lots about their history and break up, I took Waters side and dislike the fact that Gilmore brought Polly Samson in to write the lyrics.

This now taints that album for me, no matter how much I like PF!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

Jon

No, I still like Division Bell. I didn't know or care really re the Gilmour/Waters split. It didn't stop me liking most of PF, not too much of the early stuff.

Nothing wrong with Polly. Rather lovely lady, she can write (has a few books) whether you like the lyrics or not, and well she is his wife. All good friends as far as I can tell Winker

It's quite a good album as well.

And I took Gilmour's side and he continues to impress.
