Trannies Sizes

Hi guys,

My setup & arrangment is as follow -

luxman tuner
cd5
nait5

I'm gonna get a flatcap real soon. I wanna know the size tranformers of each equipments so as to get the best position/ placements for my setup.

do you guys think the biggest tranny should be at the lowest deck to give a better isolation to the source?? If YES, then what do you guys think of the tranny of the flatcap??

Assuming the biggest tranny is the flatcap in my future setup, then the folowing arrangment should be the best.

luxman tuner
cd5 - inside got tranny i suppose
nait5 - should have the second largest trannies
flatcap2 - have the largest trannies.

Future arrangment upon upgraded to pre/power will be -

nac112 - no tranny
luxman tuner - smallest tranny
cd5 - 2nd smallest tranny
nap 150 - 3rd smallest tranny
flatcap2 - biggest tranny

Is my theory/ assumation correct??

Wayne,
Interesting theory. Personally I would swap the position of the cap and the power amp. Having the power amp on the bottom shelf is easier.

so what do you think - does the flatcap02 has a bigger transformer than the nap150??
