iPod question
Posted by: MontyW on 20 January 2007
Hi,
This is probably a real dumb question, but here goes. Can I burn CD's to my iPod without the CD also being copied to iTunes - if so how do I do it?
Cheers,
Monty

I suspect that would get around the copy protection so probably no. Or:-
Can you rip the CD into WMP or such like and then drag and drop into your iPod?

Hi BigH,
All I want to be able to do is transfer a load of my CD collection to my iPod without then meing duplicated on my hard drive when I use iTunes - I'm sort of running out of hard disk space on my Mac.
Cheers,
Monty

No you cannot.
Purchase a USB harddrive, 300 gig ones are 100 quid now.
Or import the CDs, copy to your ipod then delete the songs in iTunes.

Hi Garyi,.
Thansk for the reply. When I try to delete Cd's/tracks from iTunes, it states the tracks will be deleted from my iPod as well. How do I get around this?
Cheers,
Monty

Configure it for manual rather than automatic mangement.
