What are you going to drink tonight? Something different for a change?

Something leapt out at me in Waitrose... Fuller's Golden Pride. Now I love their London Pride, so thought I'd take a look. Oooerr, 8.something %.... Just the two will do. Anyone tasted this? I just hope it isn't like the usual strong lagers and beers: you wonder why on Earth you bothered!
Looking forward to it, but I've had to hide it from myself til tonight.

Fuller's is usually very tasty - I hope you enjoy it - perhaps CD rather than vinyl after the first one??
I had a 2001 Margaret River Cabernet lined up for tonight (the notes say cellar for up to 8 years - should be just right), then SWMBO just bought some nice fish, so it'll be plan B, perhaps an Aussie riesling. Celebrating as I've just landed a new contract - I got hit by the financial services crisis at the end of last summer, it's been a hard six months.

Some nice fish on Friday, a nice drink and the world's looking brighter? Not bad then, really.
After walking out of my last job, I received an offer today and have at least two more on the cards. Mind you, military aviation is bound to be doing better than civil!

PS. Bought the ex-girlfriend a nice 8 year old Rioja, so I'm in her good books

So, how was the Golden Pride? The fish was good, the riesling better, now spinning vinyl.
Good luck with the offers - hope you end up with a choice.

The Golden Pride has that slight honey/mead flavour that seems common to beers of, hic, this strength, but it's certainly drinkable! It was preceded by two large bottles of Pironi to accompany the pasta dish wot I ett.
I think I'd beter go to bed!
One good point about a relaxing drink.... I think we decided that I'd take up the first job offer

nice going Tony, but why not look into all the offers, spend more time with them before choosing. I"ve never had that opportunity of a choice of jobs, and got into several bad situations taking the only one. A good drink always makes the world a bit rosy.
Valentines Day and my main squeeze is traveling, oh well, time to spend a weekend with my stereo. They just put on ChuckE's in Love, I feel a RLJ session coming on.

You might need to re-prioritise. Or get a woman. LOL!
