Sad news, way too young. RIP Ron.

I'm surprised he got to that age, but then it's Iggy who's indestructible.
An absolutely great rock guitarist -was playing the first 2 Stooges albums last night after I heard of his death. And then -some say - he became an even better bass player for Raw Power and the subesequent demise of the Stooges Mk1.

Truly sad news. He was part of one of those bands who inspired other people to get out there and start their own. I will break out some Stooges today for sure.

Just listening to "The Stooges" and "Funhouse" again today. 40 years on and they sound awesome and as fresh as they did then. No-one rocked as hard as them and R.A's chainsaw guitar is a thing of beauty.

These two records are to my taste among the very very best rock records ever. The sound is far above average also.

Quite right...rock music begins and ends with those 2 albums in my opinion. A great, great guitarist.
