Naim App

Does anybody know if the Apple Naim App is able to browse & select network shares?

The app simply allows you to browse what the HDX can see. Any shares or music stores that are active on the HDX are visible on the app as one big music library - there's no distinction between different locations

I'll take advantage of this thread to ask:

Does someone know if Naim is planning to release an iPad version of the app?

Another question about the app. Is this also for use with the uniti and unitiqute?

Naim have said they will support the iPad - but it's anyones guess as to when that will actually be....

As for the current App, it is for HDX/NS only - there is a separate Uniti App on the way, although again, that statement was some time ago.....

p.s. I have a hunch Naim may now be occupied writing new code for the unreleased Apps, since Apple amended their SDK and blocked authoring with Flash...

Only the HDX GUI uses Flash, for browser connection - the iPhone/iPod is different, so I doubt it was authored with Flash. It is so similar to the iPod interface that I suspect there's a lot of shared code
The HDX app will work with UnitiServe also I believe (when it's available Roll Eyes )

There we are, one post with 'doubt', 'suspect' and 'believe' in it. It must be true Winker

They should work on the iPad now right? It of course isnt yet written to fill the entire screen but that is the case with 99% of the current apps. it is either run in iPhone size or magnify to full size and lose the resolution.

Isn't the new iPhone supposed to have the same resolution as the iPad so eventually all apps will need to be scaled up to the higher resolution, true?

But of course they won't be the same apps as the difference in size of the two screens really requires very different screen layouts.
