Hot New Act

I have just bought a fantastic debut album'All follow everyone' by a new Band called 'Custom Blue'. I stumbled upon it courtesy of a free sampler and I must say it is one hell off an impressive LP. What it sound like? Well it is actually very original but if pressed I would say there are shades of 'Doves', Massive Attack, Portishead and even the Charlatans. The album has a big, broody impressive sound that is lifted through excellent string arrangements. It ia also available on vinyl!

I did get my copy on Vinyl and mine is pretty quiet with hardly any crackle and pop. The noise between tacks is higher than average though which is a bit disconcerting. I think I will give it a spin through the record cleaner, to be honest I would rather listen to it than clean it though! I have played this quite a bit now and the thing the strikes me most about it is how 'confident' the sound is for a debut outing. They are content to get a good vibe going without over egging it or resorting to mindless noodling. Definately a band to watch in the future, have you found out any info about them?
