Anyone like 'Burial'
Posted by: Sicey on 18 January 2008
I bought their CD 'Untrue' after Mr Tong has been plugging their excellent track 'ArchAngel'.
I must admit I think the CD is excellent and refereshing change to the normal dance genre of music I listen to.
If anyone else has any of their old stuff would you recommend it?

I'll second or is that third Burial.
Other personal faves are Digital Mystikz, Shackleton - well Skulldiscio really,
Tempa - Roots of dubstep,
The Bug - not sure how much you can call them dubstep but there's definitley the influence there
µ-Ziq - although they're maybe a bit more drum and bass.
Boxcutter
This stuff tends to blur across boundaries a bit

Been meaning to get the Skulldisco compilation Soundboy Punishments which is mainly Shackletons stuff. There's couple of Digital Mystikz tracks on the first Soul Jazz Comp. The Soul Jazz Comp shows how diverse Dubstep can be my favorites being from Scuba.
µ-Ziq last album is closer to Dubstep than D&B you could call it ethereal dubstep.
