Listening Room Temp

Posted by: Alex S. on 14 March 2003

I'm convinced that a nice, warm cozy listening room is vital to listening pleasure on 2 counts:

1. Warm, coziness induces a feeling of warm coziness and well-being. When I'm warm and cozy I can forgive the odd pod boom.

2. Equipment left on and nice and warm and cozy seems to really work better. A little local heat on your cartridge or CD tray certainly helps too.

I've heard warm vs. cold speakers - quite a difference. Apparantly the drivers are affected by the temperature.

When adjusting my central heating, "Roaring Hell-like Inferno" is my preferred setting.
