Apparently Warners/Rhino have been secretly mastering the "cream" of their catalogue on 180gm vinyl and they are about to be isssued.
As far as I am aware they will only be avaiable from the following link
http://www.becausesoundmatters.com/
There is no word that they will be limited releases but I would think they will be. So keep checking the site.
Apparently the following titles are among the issues
Fleetwood Mac- Rumours
Van Morrison- Moondance
James Taylor- Sweet Baby James, Mudslide Slim
ZZ Top- Tres, Fandango
Frank Sinatra
Rickie Lee Jones
Dire Straits- Brothers in Arms
and many many more. Joni Mitchell's Blue is the first in what is supposedly an extensive series.

I don't know (I've pre-ordered) but assuming they're similar to Sundazed, even after tax you still come out well up.
They do work out postage and confirm it to you before shipment though

Its never that bad......for the boxset i reckon about £10, which for 7 records is hardly a lot.

's alright, it's not out yet anyway...Maybe you should put a score on Chelsea beating Liverpool and winning a place in Champions League final to help out.

Don't know if Muddy Waters Folk Singer disc was included in your purchases but buy it. It is simply stunning. I got mine off eBay for £8.

Right. Just ordered Moondance, Sweet Baby James, Mudslide Slim and RLJ. Noticed No Frontiers and Time After Time on the pre-order list, so ordered them too, gulp.
Ewemon, I agree Folk Singer is great. If you like a dose of raw, 1920s style blues, get a hold of C.W Stoneking's King Hokum. It's a fairly new release & I don't know if it's available outside Oz, but the guy is unbelievable.

I think I raised this before on buying vinyl from the states, but.....be very careful about tax at customs here. I ordered about $75 of stuff, had to pay duty on them which was a shame but fair enough, the real injustice was the post office writing to me to say that I owed duty on the parcel of some £15 but then charging me a further amount, just under £10 to tell me that I owed duty and for them to collect it and post the package on to me!
That said Acoustic Sounds was very good, well packaged and quick.

I am a great blues fan but can't say I have heard of him but will seek him out. Thanks for the tip.
In fact just picked him up on Amazon.de as I can't see the disc listed in the UK. The samples I hear from the Vodood Records website are making me want to buy the disc. So here goes.

Accoustic Sounds postage is quite steep - I have just paid $30 on an order for 3 lps and there is always a "customs risk". If you are looking at audiphile pressings they are retailing at c$25 each (compared to £26-£30) in the Uk so even allowing for additional costs does represent a saving at current exchange rates.
Sundazed is more reasonable - at about $20 for 3 lps but again they are doing £16 lps for $16! The Bob Dylan mono series is outstanding
My favourite US vinyl site at the moment is Record By Mail - mainly secondhand (but v good s/hand) and also some new / factory sealed stock. I've had some great stuff from them and they offer free postage for $199 plus.
Finally for CDs (especially for US artists) I tend to use Djangos which is free postage over $25 and with new CDs usually retailing at $12-$14

Djangos has now reduced their free postage to $15 the downside is they have kept their handling fee of $2 but hey that means that you can usually get an album direct from the States for approx £8- £9 incl postage.
