Set up of Mana soundbases

Posted by: sean on 12 April 2003

Lads,

Just a quickie to see how you guys have set up yours, as i've yet to do mine. To let you know I have a very uneven wooden floor and am waiting for longer spikes to arrive before I can set them up.

I interested to find out if any of you have set the spikes into cross headed screws or coach screws in the floor. The guys at Mana did'ent recomend this, steel into steel or something like that, but I know that the Naim chips seem to work under speaker spikes.

Anyone with any knowlege please speak up as shifting DBL's just for a fiddle is one almighty pain!

ta,

Sean.

P.S. My wife made the task of moving my DBLs a wee bit easier. Buy 8 NEW tennis balls.Punch a small hole in each and slip one onto each spike. This will allow you to slide them around. It works great.
