Strange lack of interest in ebay SL2s
Posted by: rupert bear on 03 March 2007
Some of you will have noticed, there's an apparently perfectly decent pair of SL2s on ebay at the moment, with only a couple of days to go. So far, not a single bid. I've contacted the seller but no reply (I know what you're going to say to that). It's odd, though, that it all looks so kosher, and if the guy is a first-timer, all sellers had to be sometime. What have I missed?

Hi
I don't think it is kosher. A £5600 pair of ex-dem speakers starting a £999 looks a bit fishy to me.

These smae pictures were on a sale item by a different seller 2 weeks ago., same text innitially, with a start price of 99 p.
i emailed the seller and they were not a member of naim forum. however the pictures did look familiar, they went for approx £2800.
Very fishy

Everyone smells a SCAM!
Same photos for three different auctions held by three different users all with ZERO feedback.
EBAY have removed them twice.

The original auction those pictures are from was by a dealer and that was fine.
Now some complete muppet has signed up with eBay in the last week, copied the auction that only closed a week ago and is trying his luck, a complete spoon of the highest order.

Nice one garyi - I haven't heard "spoon" used for ages, made me chuckle!
