A couple of old British marques that still attract interest:

And a pic of one of my favourite sounding cars, the BRM V16. I just couldn't believe that this beast turned up, let alone manage to run up the hill:

Ok, a little Italian for you?

Lambretta Model C or D with trailer, model A or B in background. A couple of Vespas at the sides.

That BRM sounds awesome dosn't it? Supercharged V16 and only 1500cc,watchmakers art almost.

Any one get this?

Reg. is the give away.
A real design icon and still popular today, albeit in a evolved form.

For those unfamiliar, this is the latest version

If you want something a bit more challenging, what's this?
Posted on: 12 July 2006 by BigH47
A mate has recently bought a Caterham. Unblievably quick and the handling is amazing and "only" a 1400cc one at that. Unfortunately it is like putting your head in a washing machine, after about 30 mins I felt completely banjaxed. Apparently wearing a crash helmet does not help as the airflow tries to rip it of your head.
So my dream of owning might have to go on "hold".

Is it a Nova? Space 1999 or something similar.

Good guess, but not correct! The colour may give a hint as to what film it appeared in...

It's not clockwork surely? PROBE that question carefully?

Congrats! The very same Adams Probe 16! Only 34 inches high, you get in through the sliding glass canopy and steer through your feet......

I've got the glorious noise as an MP3 sound clip on my mobile phone.

Did you see the Merlin engined Rover SD1 on the Practical Performance Cars stand?

Bonnet open, 27 litres of supercharged V12...

And then they started it up, with me stood about 3 feet from the front of it...

Woah!!!!! Cool

Bumped into this little beauty on the weekend (not at Goodwood - they wouldn't have us!)

Just to add some scale to the huge Cummins diesel:

PS. A fellow petrol head and naimee to the right of the pic.

Did anyone notice this pedal box?

I wonder if anyone can tell me the car?

Zonda F?
Posted on: 13 July 2006 by arf005
Radical....???

It's got to be light, right!
Posted on: 13 July 2006 by NaimThatTune
Hmm, was responding to a Macca F1 answer (now disappeared). They had alloy pedals (just checked in my Driving Ambition book - how sad am I??).

Don't think its Radical - my pal took me out in his a while ago and it too had alloy pedals (R3 not R4). Also don't think it was Zonda F as I first thought - lots of carbon good but the steel welded tubes etc are putting me off that idea now.

Er - Koenigsegg CCR? I'm really just guessing now...

Yeah - that was me!
I changed my mind after having a quick squint on the net and finding a pic of the Macca with it's alloy pedals....oooops! so ya caught me out.....

Come on Tony, give us another clue......

Hi Arf,

tried not to expose you re changing your mind on the F1 but you obviously don't mind...

Now I'm thinking a Koenigsegg would be trimmed up much more opulently than we see here.

Going out on a limb, and perhaps putting more store into Tony's hint at rarity than perhaps is justified, I think this is something like the Audi R10 - that V12 diesel thing that just won Le Mans? Can't be many of them kicking around?

Cheers!

Rich
