I am no big fan of Prince...but...I saw him at Wembley arena 20 years ago and he was awesome.

Much more ROCK when he is live. A real guitar hero.

He is only 3'8" tall though...

If you have never seen him before go if you can. I wsan't a fan until I saw him on a greatest hits tour. The whole show was awesome.

It is bizarre I went with some people who were Prince 'nuts'.

It is in my top 5 gigs ever.

And I've been to a few...

Likewise. I saw him at Wembley Stadium in the mid-nineties. He is awesome live.

B****r me that also means he won't be playing the Victoria Hotel in Forres.

Have a friend who went to see him and came back and said he was awesome.

I've heard he now works at the tea Rooms in Worthing.
"Two toasted tea-cakes for table number 4"
"Here, aren't you that singer, wassiname, you know, Prince?"
"Oh not now love, I changed me name to that symbol thingumy"
"Oooh aye, you did too, I remember. Can I have strawberry jam with that?"
"'Course yer can love, coming right up".

All right, all right.....it was Flansham, but I thought Worthing would be more general for those that don't know the area.
Smile I didn't think you guys were so picky

My wife has been trying to get tickets for the prince gigs. They went on sale to the general public at 9am on friday. She was on the phone from about 08.50, & was put into a queue. At about 9.20, her turn came, only to be told that all tickets were sold out! She tried ticketmaster, Virgin, etc, but any tickets for sale had gone from the advertised £31.21 to £250 or more!
She eventually found 2, for £80ish each, which she went for. So much for "all tickets for £31 each!!"
Still, it should be a superb show. I saw him around the sign 'o the times/Lovesexy era, & was blown away.
I've since spoken to other people who were contemplating spending £600 each for B.Streisand tickets, so £80 for Prince seems a bargain!

I've looked at the ticketmaster website and found some for the £31.21 price.

Does anyone actually want to see a 48 year old dwarf (and Jehovah's witness) talking about sex?

Sounds a bit creepy to me, but I guess several thousand do.

K

(PS I saw him in '88, he was very good in his way, but the show was too long and too patchy. The "sexy" stuff was slathered on with a trowel and there were too many screeching sub-Hendrix guitar solos and far too much directoinless "funky" jamming.

Now Sly Stone (who, along with Little Richard and Hendrix, to whom the Purple Pillock owes a great debt)... he would have been good to see.
