I was wondering if anyone can explain what dffers between eg a 323 and a 523 board? I know some are MM and some MC, but what alters between the MC boards in particular as thats what I have.

Thanks

Mike, as I understand it, the 52x boards are for the more recent kit (5 series stuff?), whereas the 32x boards are for the 32/42/72 series of preamps.

Within the 323 boards (which are the low output MC type), there are K and S variants - the S is the usual, the K was I believe produced for Linn cartridges (Kartridges?) - specifically the Karma. The MM boards are numbered 322 (so I assume the the 5 series versions are 522).

323 boards have different suffixes depending on the version - so you may have a 323/2, 323/3 or 323/5 - I think the /3 are the most common. The higher the sudfix, the later the board.
I recently saw some 323/2 boards, and there are quite a few differences - the /5 I would assume are further developed over the /3 variant.

Hope that helps!
