Uniti - upnp Flacs

Just got my Uniti. Love it but I got a problem. I connected my uniti via wlan with my pc and it works fine for mp3s. But if I try to play flacs it trys to connect forever and nothing happens. The same flacs work if I put them on a usb-stick and stick it into the uniti. Are they to big to get get streamed via upnp? Would a better router help? (Im using WMP as mediaserver and installed all necessary updates to play flacs and display them in my library)

Use a different server. Try twonky.

I don't think that WMP can stream flac. MS have WMA lossless as an alternative.

If you want to stream flac there is foobar which is freeware and runs on Windows, and Mediatomb which runs on Linux.

its a bit of a faff to get WMP to stream FLAC
