Yes. Great voice and fit as a butchers dog too.

Have to agree with the above comment , but I'm not sure if the new album is as good as Call Off The Search but still a good one.
I Saw Katie live at the Lowery in Manchester in 2004 and her live singing is top notch too.

Chaps
Swindon is generally a bit of a dump but we do have a good pub ( Swiss Chalet) which has lots of good bands playing live music.
Katie popped in for a quick drink a few weeks ago, was recognised so agreed to give a quick impromptu concert. She was damn good.

Is she the one who sings some crap about there being nine billion bicycles in Beijing? She's got hardly any voice at all, relying entirely on amplification to get her sound, she sings every ghastly song - each an object lesson in kitsch - like she's half asleep, and looks like an alien.
Apart from that, she's great!

Miss M is entirely recognisable! I was in a car last evening and a song she was singing came on the CD player. I said, 'Melua?'
I was right, but had never heard the song before. I could not tell you which it was, but it enjoyable to me...

Just noticed there's a photo of her on the AOL Welcome screen... funny looking bird; looks like she came off a flying saucer.
