I have a NAC102 and a cd-5. When I use the a/v input and turn the volume up I get a buzz from the speakers even at low volume levels. If I disconnect the cd player the buzz goes away though turning it off makes no difference. I live in Belgium and use plug converters but as far as I'm aware they are earthed. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

What other sources are plugged in your 102?

Up until recently I had the same problem.
I connect my satellite receiver to the AV input socketon my 102. I got a buzzing noise if the cable wasn't perfectly seated into the socket. This was partly because my lead was a little too short to cover the necessary distance!! I was never sure whether the problem was due to the connection at the 102 end, or the satellite end. I've since had a new (longer) cable made up and the problem has gone away.
Check that your connections are firm.
